I hope that as many as possible are aware of the exciting opportunity we are considering to add to the leadership of CCBC. This was explained at last Sunday afternoon’s AGM and will be formally presented at a Special Church Meeting of members following next Sunday (12th) morning’s service. To assist our consideration Luke will be speaking and answering questions on Tuesday (7th) evening at 7.30pm to which everyone (members and non-members) is invited.
Our hearts’ desire is surely to hear and obey God’s voice over this issue. I love the way the Jerusalem Council determined the basis of their decision making in Acts 15v28: “It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us ….” A divine / human consensus that appeared to be right and beneficial! Clearly, also, there was deep agreement amongst those present at the Council.
May we all really seek God over the next few days and seek to sense the Holy Spirit’s leading, making “every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4v3).
